Fall Bucket-List
Tis' the spooky season!
Written by Jess Noel
Fall has come in full force this year, and I couldn’t be more excited! The overcast days, the crisp air, the leaves, it all came at the flip of a switch this year. I can’t describe the joy and warmth that fills me when I think about this season each year, but let’s just say it is by far my favorite season.
I feel as though there is never enough time in the Fall to check off all the items on my bucket-list. I mean there are just too many adventures to take, things to do, and treats to share!
So, without further ado, here is my 2023 Fall Bucket-List:
We have to start with the basics. Pumpkin picking, apple orchards, and carving pumpkins? All the classic ways to enjoy the season are a must on any fall bucket list.
This is the perfect hiking season! This time of year is stunning in so many places. Take a trip, enjoy nature, spend time in the beautiful world God created.
Girl’s night (or day) is a must. This will always be on my bucket list. Snacks, drinks, movies, crafts, and friendship: how could you not want to do this? This year my friends and I are planning a Saturday brunch, movies, and crafts day.
Support your local businesses. This is the perfect place to get all your fall goodies! Pastries, produce, flowers, pumpkins, you name it. Not to mention we’ve entered craft fair season. You can fulfill your produce and craft needs all while supporting those local businesses!
Oh, Football fans!!! Our time has come! I know one of my favorite things to do in the fall is to get cozy in my football gear and watch the game with friends and family. Tailgate at the game or home, make all the game time snacks, and have a blast with your friends!
My personal goal: Learn to make soup. I always see these delicious looking soups that people are making at home, so I’m making it a goal to learn how to make them. Especially if I can source the ingredients for them locally. I imagine they taste and feel like the perfect warm hug.
Take a new class. Another thing my friends and I have always wanted to try is a pottery class! This seems like a great indoor activity for those colder fall days. Plus, you can take home a finished product.
We can’t forget some of the childhood favorites. When asking friends what should be on our bucket-list, some answered “play in the leaves”. If you did this as a child, what better way to reminisce than to do this with family, friends, or a loved one. Seems like the perfect way to bring a smile to your face.
Whatever you choose to add to your bucket-list this season, I hope it brings you joy. This season can often feel overwhelming as we approach the holidays and colder months, so let’s try to make the most of it.
Share with us on our social media what you plan to do this fall. We’d love to hear about it!
